Fort Worth Alliance Airport (IATA: AFW, ICAO: KAFW, FAA LID: AFW) is a public airport 14 miles north of the central business district of Fort Worth, Texas, United States. The airport is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by Alliance Air Services, a subsidiary of Hillwood Development, and is, in size, the second-largest airport facility in North Texas, behind only Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The airport is mainly focused on cargo operations and serves as a southern regional hub for FedEx Express and a focus city for Amazon Air. It provides no major commercial passenger airline service, though it does provide general aviation services. It formerly served as a maintenance hub for Fort Worth-based American Airlines. Billed as the world's first purely industrial airport, it was developed in a joint venture between the City of Fort Worth, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Hillwood Development Company, a real estate development company owned by Ross Perot Jr. The official groundbreaking ceremonies were held in July 1988, and the airport officially opened on December 14, 1989.

Great work on cargo areas and airside textures in gen eral. Parking areas on landside are well represented. Thank you for the work on this airport.

Hello! Very good scenery, congratulations! Will we have it for MSFS2024?

Great product. Is there a chance you could add more variety of military craft on the ramp?

Yes, I will be doing that in the next update. Originally there were several military aircraft, but MS required that I remove them on account of the weapons systems. Now that they have updated their policy, I'll be able to add them back.

Great addition for anyone who frequents this airport!

I live near the airport. Love your work. One of the issue I had is that it's less friendly on the frame rate.

Well done by beating your own standard again! This is certainly the best work yet compared to KTVL (and for comparison's sake, unsure about KTLH as I'm personally yet to purchase). The entire facility is very well modeled and the size, scale, and structure is precise. The recurring updates and changes to expand on the product is also remarkable and is worth the investment alone (there are certainly other payware airports in this price range that falter in this regard). For the airport itself, it's certainly the best place for all-things-cargo and the details here are remarkable. The recent implementation of local landmarks like Texas Motor Speedway is also a certain plus, as the remainder of the Fort Worth area is rather neglected by Asobo in comparison to other similar/smaller metro areas. The only critical part that the airport lacks is the lack of custom runway textures and/or wear. In comparison to the rest of the ground textures which are certainly above average, there seems to be no customization made to the main runway (even the blast pads are customized). To be fair, lots of other developers lack realistic or above-average runway textures (barring Flightbeam and Verticalsim, for example), even at this price point. Seeing a realistically rubbered runway (non-repeating, like Asobo's default textures) is a very significant part of the time at the airport (approaching and departing), so missing those is missing a rather large part of the experience. Forgiving my rant on that, otherwise, the airport is certainly above average and absolutely worth it, especially since it fills the seemingly-missing cargo hub niche.

Thank you so much for the kind review!

Runway textures are on my list, I will add them to the roadmap for the next update once I get a better idea of when I can get that one released. The initial overlays conflicted with Rex Relism mod so they were removed until I can create custom textures to place there.

Hmmm... I bought it cause I live here. 52F is my home airport. Its next door. Even through its $19 bucks. They had not done anything else other than this airport. The airport by itself is boring. I have practiced here a lot. I got my tailwheel endorsement here.If you are not from here. Its not worth 18$ Avoid.KPVD is better... The airport has lots of feature.

You're either reviewing the incorrect product or possibly did not install it correctly. The package features over 30 handcrafted buildings with a total of 70+ custom-built models including several buildings from the surrounding area.

Also, the alternative KPVD that you recommend is in an entirely different state and bombed in reviews early on because it had huge terraforming issues on the taxiways and runways. I think FL2 has done a great job bringing that project up to speed but to make that comparison shows you're out of your element or speaking on the wrong product.

Really great job with the scenery! I enjoyed flying into it this afternoon and this is also my first scenery I've purchased from flightsim.to. One question - are you able to adjust the scenery for the parking spots to match up with what's on the ground. Using GSX, it just shows ramp 1-69 and it's nearly impossible to quickly identify which parking area is which. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the feedback! There will be an update on or before the 17th that will update the parking codes and proper numbers.
