Flight Model updates:
The goal was to smooth out certain behaviors of the V1.0 and listen to the feedback of real Lama pilots, who kindly stepped forward after the release, to give me their feelings. Here are the main changes

- More stable forward flight above 50knts
- Easier to achieve cruising speed
- Hover sensibility slightly reduced

Added :

- Camera attachment
- Various 3D models around the cabin


Fixed :

- Altimeter QNH Strip now works
- Fuel booster pump now cannot be activated if the battery isn't on
- Fixes to the rotorhead 3d model (butée basses are now as they should be)
- Some warning lights lights that were always on are now off by default
- Pitch indicator goes above 1 as it should IRL
- Glass dirt texture is now less strong
- Texture modifications of certain objects

Side note the FM from V1 is still available as a swap option for users that would like to keep it

This is a really great add-on! The 3D model and sounds a well made, the system depth is reasonable, and it is fun to fly and learn. I can highly recommend it.

I just saw (thanks to the previous com) flightsim not selling the last release. I really hope this will correct the ton of bug that makes the cockpit barely functional : switch doesn't response (can't stop the motor), the propeller brake is inoperative, ...etc. And, but this one is one Taog, PLEASE DEVS, make our avatar be the pilot ... Please. No really, please. I'm tired of this unique model on a 2025 payware that have already several years of existence.

Coming from XPlane, helicopters in MSFS2020 are always a bit of a disappointment but the Taog's hangar aircraft are as good as I could hope for. They are nicely modelled, have great sounds and good functionality. They fly as well as I could hope for in this simulator and I regard them as money well spent.

I am most impressed with this helicopter. It has fast become my favourite, surpassing even the Huey. I appreciate how nimble this is and its climbing ability. I immediately emailed my fellow enthusiast friends to let them know about. This is what makes flying fun for us!

An incredible Helo and a must own. Really. I own every helicopter that has been released for MSFS 2020 and 2024. They all have something to offer but there are a few that rise up compared to the rest. The Lama is at the top in my opinion. It's flight dynamics, its sounds, its feel, the plentiful amount of included liveries AND the fun-to-fly-factor is off the charts. For bush flying at the kind of speeds associated with it, there is NO better helo. I don't know Taog personally, but he is what makes the sim community so great. That is, people developing fun, unique, challenging aircraft that we get to enjoy for a reasonable price that is a terrific value. I only wish we could clone him so there would be more work faster, but...I'll wait and be first in line for anything he releases.

What an absolute joy to fly in MSFS 2024! This is my favorite helicopter right now, above the acclaimed HPG H145. I'm not a helicopter pilot IRL, but this just feels so right. It does suffer from the dark GTN750 issue, though. Strange that some 3rd party aircraft don't have this issue (Orbx PAC P-750, HPG H145) while others do (Lama, PESim Maule).

Absolutely beautiful flight model. Doesn't feel like it Flys on rails, you actually have to work to hover it. Sounds great and has awesome features. It does work in msfs 2024, some slight sound bugs but mostly ingame issues that need tweaking. I highly reccomend this helo. Much better than the ingame helos.

Hi, I love the last updates on the Lama and Alouette but I noticed the Lama cockpit kind of "bouncing" up and down now when stopped on the ground. I didn't have that before. The lights also seem disturbed. They're all on when I turn on battery, even red beacon steady on and landing light a bit deemed. Circuit breaker has no effect at all. And 2 position switch only starts flashing the beacon in either positon. Used to be a steady and flashing positions for positions lights if I remember, and the cicuit breaker used to activate the beacon. Landing light circuit breaker increases the light power of the beam.

Love this new flight model to fly - but some how the engine shuts down every time I start with the Heli after a few minutes. Any ideas why? I also recognize, that the Heli is way less powerful than the older versions. Any hints? Am I doing anything wrong maybe? Thanks! Keep on doing and thanks for your awesome job Taog's Hangar!!!

You might be overtorquing the engine and thus broke the gearbox, please read the manual for further details :)

after the update the flight model feels like an airplane in transition from hover to forward flight. it ruined he helicopter for me unfortunatly... im going back to the previous version for that reson. the cockpit camera is also weird, the zoom changes the pov too much, i would love to get the old camera back. other than that the update is great

Many have said this is a tricky flight model, this was actually the most enjoyable flight model I have flown to date. I own the Cowan 222, Got Friends Mini 500, HPG 145, Taog's Alouette, Fly Inside Bell 47, the community R44 freeware and have some time on the stock 407. This Lama feels hands down the most authentic of any I have stick time on. Take the time to figure out what flight control curves work best for you. Great job once again Taog's! Hope you are still working on my favorite heli of all time, the AS365!!

I recently bought this helicopter because it looks great with really good detailing both inside and out. It takes a while to master flying it and that is good because if an aircraft is too easy in MSFS you quickly tire of using it. I found that it is easier to fly from inside the cockpit (using head tracking) rather than maintain the external view all the time. So it is better than the MSFS default helicopter as they more modern and easier to fly. There are also a good range of additional liveries on Flightsim.to.

I will give you an honest review. I feel something strange about FM when flying at high speed. It seems that the increase in torque due to the increase in collective affects pitching too strongly. This aircraft is originally capable of level flight at 100kt, but in MAFS there is a wall before 80kt, and the required torque or blade pitch at 100kt is too large, so it barely moves forward in an attitude as if it is in a steep descent. It's like a racing drone. Therefore, when attempting to cruise at high speed, the aircraft moves up and down like a phugoid with the slightest cyclic operation or aircraft behavior. Other than that, the behavior closely reproduces the legacy copter. If you use the easy model, it will be easier to achieve speed, but you will lose the agility of the llama, so I would like you to review the above parameters when level flight with normal FM. *Increasing the sensitivity by about 10% compared to other helicopters will make it easier to operate.

Very pleased, better what's found in MSFS. PC and I are still learning and getting better every day. Got rid of the springs in Thrusmaster T16000 rudder pedals and lubricated with graphit powder becouse they are more for a DC 3 than a helicopter. Works good now. Also finally reading the Handbook helped :-). Great realism. I like it together with the Alouette iii

In my opinion the best helicopter for MSFS together with ne Alouette 3. Verry realistic behaviour with the flight dynamics and the sounds are awesome. Also the model in my eyes is the best I've ever seen. All details and everything is like it's a digital twin of the real machine. And a helicopter which must be hand flown all the time without trim system and so on. A real mechanical helicopter with lot's of power. If you've flown it you would never fly a low power piston one again.

My favourite helicopter for MSFS, everything is stunning, the flightmodel, the sounds, the cockpit texturing and modeling, I can't have enough of this one! The Alouette III is really on par with the Lama, but for a reason, I prefer flying the Lama, it's a more agile machine and probably more demanding to fly, but once you get use to it this is pure joy! Looking forward for the next Taog's Hangar creation!

One of only a few helos in my hangar, some much better than others. This one is one of the better ones, however, with ease of use (easy mode) I am able to fly it right away. I would not attempt normal (more difficult) mode yet until I am more proficient. It has good speed and agility and lands well. I would recommend this one.

Très bel hélico, beau travail. A défaut d'une Alouette II, il me fait plaisir Il reste à peaufiner quelques lacunes (mapping incomplet) et je signale un petit souci que j'ai eu au démarrage : le rotor s'est mis à tourner à fond de compteur sans aucune solution pour le ralentir. Quelle pourrait être la raison ? J'ai assigné un axe "throttle" au fuel flow, çà a l'air de fonctionner mais je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit 100% fiable, serait-ce l'explication ?

Justement, il faudrait ne pas utiliser d'axe throttle pour fuel flow, car comme vous le décrivez, cela fait démarrer le rotor tout seul. Il faudrait juste utiliser la souris pour cela :)

BUT please implement a mapping option for the booster pump switch and the fuel flow lever, I urgently need these two functions for my almost "mouseless" helisimcockpit. Greetings Erwin

What shall I say. There are helicopters and there is the lama. A legend. And legends are there to tell stories. Now I've acquired this legend and I'm part of the story. This may sound a bit patetic, but it comes a bit close to reality. This helicopter has been with me all my life. The first time, I think I remember, was in the sixties. What the sound of the Huey is to the Americans, is the lamasound for me. To the helicopter itself. I have the HPG145 and the HPG160. Quite excellent products. state of the art. Modern, every possible technical assistance to make it easier for the pilot. Lama is a little more nuanced. pure. It is a waterfall, not a channel. Take-off, flight, landing need to be practiced. If you have this helicopter, you should be prepared for many hours of practice. But it's a lot of fun. I love him. And see me in the cockpit for many hours. If you like legends, if you like to fly helicopters, the Lama is the right place for you. If you have it, you will have a lot of fun with it. But as I said, this fun has to be worked for. Clear recommendation. and it looks like the alouette III is also coming to my airplane shed. fly high!!

Excellent produit , aussi bien au niveau graphique que modele de vol , c'est cette superbe qualité graphique et la conformité de l'addon à l'helicoptere réel que j'ai constatées sur les videos de YOU TUBE qui m'ont décidé à acheter le LAMA Suggestion , pour completer l'experience du vol sur LAMA et la rendre encore plus immersive peut etre TAOG pourrait integrer au LAMA quelques equipements et options proposées actuellement sur son Alouette 3

I bought this helicopter based on the ratings. Sorry, but I am disappointed. 3 problems: 1. How can the flight model be hyped when the manual states, Quote:" No anti torque pedal is needed while lowering collective: While lowering collective, the helicopter does not counter rotate to the left, this behavior is being worked on and will hopefully be added to the flight model in later updates." Honestly, If I had known this beforehand, I never would have bought this product. 2. The slip indicator does not work (maybe linked to problem 1.) 3. The sound levels seem to be reversed. It is louder on the inside than from the outside. This is of course not dramatic, but I find it odd. Graphics are very good, but due to the limited flight model just 2* from here.

Super die Kabine und der Sound, Bin Entäuscht von der Startprocedur. Die Turbine wurde so nie gestartet. Die Empfindlichkeiten im MSFS20 sind kaum vernünftig einzustellen. Heckrotor mit Pedale und Collektiv geht gut. Rotor ist schwierig, Ohne Steuerunterstützung in den Optionen gehts nicht. Da ist die Aluette III wesentlich besser .

Je ne fais que de découvrir le monde de l'hélicoptère de par ce fameux Lama, venant plutôt des gros aéronefs and Co, mais je peux vous dire une chose, c'est une tuerie mais à tous les niveaux, un travail d'orfèvre...!!! Sans compter que ce cher mister Taog possède une qualité essentielle par rapport a biens d' autres concepteurs d'addons, il est une oreille très attentive à la communauté, ce qui fait grandement avancé pour tous un chacun de tel projets vers des sommets....

Very nice helicopter from Taog, just like the Alouette III! I can't say anything about the flight characteristics as I'm not a pilot, but I can comment on a few other small details: The "bubble door" opens too wide when you open it - so that it falls into the cockpit window. At least on the Air-Glaciers version, the identification number in the cockpit is written incorrectly. The painting of the tail rotor should have 3 red stripes instead of 2. Last but not least, the sound in the exterior view: In the "idle position" up to just before 100% RPM, which unfortunately does not sound like the original. The typical "Artouste-sound" is added shortly before 100% RPM on the original - not at startup. However, this is not meant to be a criticism, just suggestions for improvement :) 5 stars ! Als ich mir den Microsoft Flugsimolator 2020 kaufte, fragte ich mich, wann es den Hubschauber Aérospatiale SA-315 B als Flugmodell für den Flugsimulator gibt. Siehe da, nur 3 Jahre musste ich warten. Optisch hervorragend, großartig gelungen -5 Sterne plus Vollmond Bei den Flugeigenschaften war ich am Anfang etwas entäuscht. Nach einpaar Änderungen bei den Steuerungseinstellungen (mehrere Stunden testen) ist es zwar besser geworden, aber noch nicht perfekt. Aber ich denke, dass werden wir auch noch perfektionieren. Trotzdem 5 Sterne!

I was a bit reluctant to purchase this product as I own the Aloette and thought this would be a similar flight model. But this is totally different in flight and the sounds. Everything feels more exciting and for those looking for authentic helicopter flying then look no further.

Love all the features and details but still find the flight model (even after installing the "easy" version) is still a bit squirlly for the casual sim pilot. Don't really want to spend hours practicing and setting up special controller profiles to get 1/2 way proficient on this aircraft. Just want to load MSFS, jump in the cockpit, enjoy some cruising and sightseeing without having to concentrate so hard on keeping reasonable control of the helicopter that I miss MSFS awesome views.

My aim was to provide this realistic experience, I understand your point of view, this helicopter is not made for everyone, I also believe that putting in the time to practice can become really rewarding. You can also try to fly with the helps provided by MSFS in your seetings. Cheers

Really fun to fly. Great animations. One of the best textured aircraft period. Lots of details. I love the additional details like the engine covers and the baskets vs boxes that you can toggle on and off. I'm hoping they add water spray to the arms. Also, if there's a way to animate the sling and the bambi bucket so that it reacts to physics like the string on the windscreen, that would be great. But maybe that's an engine limitation.

I had to wait until version 1.1 (which arrived quickly, actually), to fully appreciate the Lama. Now, I find it as rewarding and fun to fly as it is beautiful (model, textures, sound). I'm using the new default flight model, with a regular HOTAS (Logitech X56) and some Logitech Rudder pedals too. And it's all perfectly doable. A bit more challenging than the Alouette, but not to a silly extent! I know I will have hours of fun with this lightweight chopper. A second masterpiece from Taog. Great job once again!

Wow what an awesome little machine to fly i really appreciate the SA315B in msfs2020 for what it is and why the real world helicopter is so popular and loved by so many pilots and crews the world over, The flight model is how i would want my preferred helicopters to handle it certainly makes you aware of why this particular helicopter demanded that the pilot pay full attention when operating the aircraft within its limits, Bravo to the Taog Hangar team for a wonderful aircraft i`ll will certainly spend a lot of time flying for sometime ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐

THe SA-315B is a great model, with nice features, like the sling package and the Bambi bucket. It is however, a handful to fly (like the real one, I presume). Being versatile at great heights, it wants to go up, all the time. Also, it buckles very easily from side to side.Luckily, the first update removed the extreme (over) sensitivity; with the first version, I, mostly flying helis in MSFS, landed on my rotor a few times. It is good to experience that helicopter flying technique has progressed a lot in 50 years. All in all, a great model.

This is a great little helicopter/ Taog's Hangar has smashed it out of the park again and it is a joy to fly. It's a light helicopter so it tests your skills as a helicopter pilot and rewards you with an excellent flight model, fantastic graphics, and realistic sounds. As with any of Taog's releases I definitely recommend getting and flying the Lama. Well done Taog, I am looking forward to even more releases from your hangar :)

This is , with the Alouette III, the best helicopters I have. At the first takeoff the Lama was very difficult to fly, but then, with the neccessary settings in MSFS2020 it is such a great enjoyment, to cruise around with this unbelievable helicopter. 1000 thanks to Taog`s Hangar for this unique work. My only annotation : would it be possible, to save the settings in the kneeboard?

The modeling and texturing are a step up from their first heli, the exceptional Alouette III. Another one knocked out of the park! This heli is the product of someone that loves what he does, and it shows. The textures are first rate, as well as the sounds and I even like the flight model since version 1.1 release. I, like others, would like to see persistence implemented for the options tablet. Kind of a pain to have to redo your selections each time with subsequent flights. I would also like to see the rotor downwash effect react to pulling the collective a little sooner and have the effect last a little longer in ground effect. Overall, this is my favorite heli which leaves the Alouette III running a very close second. Thanks Taog for your hard work, time and dedication to quality work at a price more people can afford.

Working on persistency, it will hopefully come :)

Another stunning recreation of a famous helicopter. The visuals and the sounds are outstanding. It is challenging to fly, but very rewarding once mastered. I'm already looking forward to the Huey and the Dauphin.

really nice!! Challenging that does not allow distractions during takeoff and landing. Only problem that I do not know how to change the appearance of the pilot and so I have Gino Vannelli at the controls :)

Wow. This is one awesome extra helicopter for the hangar in MSFS. Beautifully done and impressive attention to detail. One of my favorite helicopters to fly in the sim now. Seeing the care and detail you put into these is an asset to the sim community. The clip board with the extra accessory's is the icing on the cake. Well Done . I would absolutely love to see you put out a Hughes 500D or C model for this sim one day.

A worthwhile purchase. Very good SIM quality, realistic flight characteristics. You should not exceed 100kn, even if the top speed is stated as 113kn; the helicopter becomes difficult to control >100kn. Compared to the ALOUETTE III, which is also very high quality, the LAMA appears more agile because it has a better power-to-weight ratio.

Beautifully crafted, Many liveries, nice helicopter. Something special about this bird, Love the engine outside and the exposed rib tail section. Flight Model is a little hard to master, although it does come with an Easy Mode Flight model and judging by the Circuit breaker labeled "FM" will have support to flip flop back and forth between the two. For now, easy flight model is changed manually, but not hard to do at all. I suggest turning your reactivity down to 50% for short stick flyers without an actual Cyclic, and Furthermore, if you odn't have rudders and use twist, take your sensitivity up to make the amount of twist for rudder needed shorter! 10/10 Stars, Taog updates his aircraft, and is very responsive in his Discord which you should join if you have questions. He is there to help!

Well, well, well done this person!! Maybe COWANSIM could learn something from you! :-) Now my favourite heli, sooooo much fun. Just a couple of things on the 1.1 update trim ball seems to be almost stuck in the middle for some reason, and the trim string regardless ? I have to say, I do miss the scratches on the canopy Perspex... but can't have it all! And the sounds are fantastic!! What are the chances of a Gazelle?

whell, this is fun:) but all time need push right pedal... is it need only at high torque on the low speed high collective? about trim... whell probably for any heli not only for this one we need something like force trim mod for fix center point/joystick position, or even mod with force trim always active, where we don't fight with stick, just set position of it. i mean fool ignore spring/center back. so when we move joy forward we move it forever, and it's never back till we push it back out of physical center. or in force sensor case just after push back... i really don't know how real stuff works, i just know some of them has boosters/trim and other have force trim fixer button... when i use most of heli in the sim, i'm o.k. with twist anti-torque, as that's need only at landing, hovering, takeoff for correct that. but this one ask me to twist my force joy(x65f) all time... my hand feel pain after fly lol... i don't wan't easy model, i need real model, just with not torque all time, because when we on cruise tail rotor do it itself without pedals, isn't it must to do that?

New FM is coming with the first update, hold on :D

Get the easy file from here or from the easy folder and then go to: Community folder \taog-lama-sa315\SimObjects\Airplanes\Taog_Lama_SA315 and make a backup of the original file Then just paste the easy FM there Then restart the sim

I can't believe I waited to pick this up! I'm a former Helicopter pilot, so I'm always on the lookout for a good Heli. I also fly in VR, so the flight behavior model is crucial to me getting the best experience. (I did not test the "easy" flight model, so I can't speak on that) As far as wn initial flight test of the regular flight characteristics, I do see some things that need ironing out, as mentioned in some of the comments already posted, but the only truly crucial one that really stood out for me was the over-sensitivity of the trim. That definitely needs to be dialed back a bit. A slower trim response is much more authentic, as trim is intentionally slow in Helicopters. All-in-all, though, having flown nearly every Helicopter available for MSFS, I would say this is DEFINITELY in the top three for flight model authenticity. One of my favorite Heli simming activities is simulating changing beacon light bulbs at the top of radio or cell towers. While more challenging than other top flight models I've used for this, due to the sensitivity, I was still able to get to the top of a tower, park the tip of my skid on the top next to the light and hold steady there for three minutes or so while my simulated passenger "changed the light". (This is NOT how its done in real life, however, but this is how I like to do it in the sim to challenge my skills) Bottom line, the flight behavior is one of the best I've seen so far, I still need to test other aspects like autorotation, and vortex ring settling, but on the surface, with what I've done so far, this one is DEFINITELY a keeper in my Virtual hangar! Well done!

Nice and lively, fluid flight model. Responsive and raw, hands-on handling. My kind of thing! Love the vibrating panels in the centre console. Good sounds. Great visibility (to the sides especially). Excellent 3D modelling and a nice selection of liveries (but no British ones lol). I won this on a "first day flight stream" (West Coast Willy) but I was going to buy it anyway just ran out of time before the stream! First thing I've ever won through luck in my life :)

A beautiful aircraft. A lot livelier than the Alouette III. I may need to change some of my sensitivities and probably use the "easy flight model" to start with. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. Note for the developers: I could open the door (pilot side) but couldn't find the area to click to close it. Ok, going back to fly.

It looks amazing, but the starter switch is stuck in the off position, so I couldn't do a cold start. The helicopter also won't go past 60 knots when I point the nose down, and it starts pitching up and down as if it's going over 120. Also, the checklist in the simulator is unreadable. This could easily be my favorite helicopter in MSFS once the bugs are worked, so it still deserves a 5-star rating.

For the starter make sure to turn on the fuel pump and also verify that the starter breaker is pushed in The speed limit around 120 knots that behavior is normal :) Checklist is already noted for the fix in next update Cheers
