As a real world pilot including fixed wing and helicopter endorsements, this took me back so many years to my heydays when I flew anything from hang gliders, sailplanes. SLMGs light fixed wing. I'm using this in MSFS2024, and this helicopter is outstanding in every way. Some of the best flight dynamics in the sim, a beautifully detailed model, and so many options that it feels like you're getting 10 aircraft for the price of one. Nice Eye-candy but thats it. Actually most helicopter in MSFS are terrible. I also dont like this weird key binding to use anything like sling or winch. Not the developers fault but annoying. Some stuff is not even well explained in the manual. I dont use these helicopters anymore and will not buy others.

Hello guys, the Alouette III Helicopter is amazing but I have found a serious mistake about the textures. Since the Dutch AF texture got the Danish AF texture repeated here instead Dutch AF textures should be used. Please try to solve this issue on the textures hopefully in a next upgrade. Since this is a very beautiful livery (Dutch AF), that it was present correctly in the previous 1.7 version upgrade. The rest of this amzing addon Helicopter simply looks and works amazingly. Thank you so much Taog´s Simulations.

Hello Taog, thank you very much for this great SA316B Alouette III and also for the SA315B Lama, I fly both helis almost daily. BUT please implement a mapping option for the booster pump switch and the fuel flow lever, I urgently need these two functions for my almost "mouseless" helisimcockpit. Greetings Erwin EDIT: I wrote the review above two years ago and have since been able to enjoy many wonderful flights with the Alouette III and the Lama on my “mouse-free” Helisim cockpit. Fortunately, the fuel flow lever can now be mapped to the throttle, but unfortunately it is still not possible to remap the booster pump switch. Will this be implemented at some point? I would be very grateful for that! At the moment, however, I have a much bigger problem: after a few months, I wanted to fly the Alouette III again, but I can no longer start the turbine! The start switch no longer holds on its own, and if you hold it down and let the turbine run up and then release the start switch, the turbine stops immediately! What is going on??? And what does the “VENT” position on the starter switch mean? Best regards, Erwin

Yet another, great product by Taog's Hangar, lots of fun and perfect experience in MSFS 2020. With regards to MSFS 2024 I have encountered problems with controls; i.e. I managed to take off and even fly, but after a while, a fuel flow handle spontaneously switched to "0" and so my adventure ended with me crashing into the ground. In my case this lever is out of control and nothing can be done (?). Another problem I found is fuel valve operation, which can be closed using mouse but never opened again. A pity, it would be so nice to enjoy flying this fantastic machine also in latest sim.

Ich habe dieses Problem nicht. Fuel Pump auf "On" und danach den Starter mit der Maus gedrückt halten und nach oben ziehen - funktioniert einwandfrei. Clickspot ist relativ weit oben. Zum Abschalten der Turbine den Starter wiederum mit der Maus nach unten ziehen. Gruss

Fantastique machine même si j'ai dû modifier certains Paramètres du domaine de vol. Je ne pourrai pour l'instant essayer cette dernière version ... mon manche cyclique est "mort". In my opinion the best helicopter for MSFS together with the Lama. Verry realistic behaviour with the flight dynamics and the sounds are awesome. Also the model in my eyes is the best I've ever seen. All details and everything is like it's a digital twin of the real machine. And a helicopter which must be hand flown all the time without trim system and so on. A real mechanical helicopter which is fun to fly and has lots of reserve even in high altitute.

Thank you, Taog, for this excellent product! It is really well done in the places that matter (sounds, flight model, texturing), and it brings back memories of me visiting Navy airshows with my, now deceased, dad and hearing the awesome sounds of the Alouette. With that said, I do want to point out some things that I believe would be relatively easy to fix, which I was disappointed were missing. I don't think they should be missing at this price point. I own a lot of payware aircraft, so I know where the standard is today. That standard is quite high, even in the $20-$35 range. Default camera position shortcuts: Basic views like one mapped to the overhead panel, the engine instruments, the main steam gauges, and the fuel control levers. Unnecessary hand-holding: The helicopter doesn't let you turn on the starter or fuel pump if you haven't turned on the fuel control lever. Not sure if this is the case in real life, but it would be nicer if people could switch these on and either break things or fail to start if they don't follow the right startup procedure. Circuit breakers: They can be operated, but they don't seem to actually affect the electrical system of the aircraft. GPS: A proper WT 530/430 implementation. In-sim and out-of-sim checklist: The checklist in the manual only covers startup. I get that it is a simple helicopter to operate, but there are more things that can be interacted with in the helicopter that are never discussed (for example the cabin heat). I look forward to future updates and hope that this is seen as constructive feedback for an already excellent product!

Many thanks for this wonderful Alouette, Taog! With the 1.6 update, some things have been greatly improved. Nevertheless, I would like to mention a few things that are not yet like the original (just as a suggestion for future updates, as I know the Alouette III quite well): - The shutdown of the turbine happens with the starter switch - not with the fuel valve. This red lever is always blocked at the front. - The startup sound in the external view would have to be adjusted for the sequence 0 - approx. 90 RPM - only then does the typical sound of the Artouste turbine start, not before. Version 1.2 was better in this respect. - It would also be nice if there was an option to hide the windshield wipers. The Swiss versions never had them - A little more vibration in the cockpit would be nice :) Yours sincerely @ thanks for the work

I purchased the Alouette on Monday and it has been a great experience to fly this one. I found it instinctive and relatively easy to fly with loads of interesting little extras I have yet to explore. The night lighting is exceptionally good for all levels of darkness with the dimmer controls in the overhead. I really enjoy flying this one, it is so immersive and I can't recommend it highly enough if you want a helicopter that both looks good and performs good.

First Alloutte I encoutered was in Rhodesia, not impressed to see a broom handle as the stick on the left side. But I now realise that was last resort for the gunner who actually used that position. The helicopters had the local nickname of the buzzing death. The skins match what I saw and it feels very nice, and that's before the improvements. Thank you

Very accurate model and quite realistic. But recommend some improvements in the starter button ( let going alone to center position on release at 54% NG) and on parking brakes. (without PB just a little collective up main rotor forward to start taxing.) It is hard to taxi on wheels. The Helo has a magnetic brake who tends to help stabilize in flight. Thanks for the model, I really enjoyed remembered my 3000 flight hours in Alouettes

Magnifique machine en de nombreux points: Qualité graphique, sensation de vol... Bref vraiment du très bon travail... Cependant de nombreux soucis se révèles si on attribues des touches de raccourcis par exemple : Plus d'affichage du GPS si les interrupteurs de batterie et/ou d'avionic ont été reliés à une touche clavier. Il y a également l'étalonnage de l'indicateur d'assiette qui s'arrête après quelques secondes. Le frein de rotor ne reste pas non plus en position ON ou OFF. Je n'ai pas trouver non plus avec quelle raccourci (fonction) je pourrais "binder" l'interrupteur du gyroscope. Le son est beaucoup plus fort dans l'habitacle qu'à l'extérieur et le contrôle "fuel flow" à la souris est vraiment un calvaire... Bon, espérons que les utilisateurs qui rencontrent les mêmes problèmes obtiendront quelques réponses et que ces quelques remarques feront avancer les mises à jours...

Et si je peux apporter qques axes d améliorations .... - l ordre et le séquencement d allumage des voyants vert et ambre ( qui pourrait être également reporté sur le Lama une fois corrigé) - le bruit de la pompe de gavage vraiment excessif - le bruit en extérieure de la machine lorsque la turbine se lance jusqu à ses ~23 000 trs avant que le rotor embraye ! Actuellement le son correspond bien à la turbine mais rotor tournant ! - la gestion du cadran de vitesse turbine et rotor avec une belle synchronisation des aiguilles ainsi qu'une montée des aiguilles plus souple et moins mécanique avec la manette de fuel flow - le comportement du roulage au sol : qu il soit aussi efficace lorsque l on est en vue extérieure qu il est de l intérieur Ces détails à mon avis apporteraient à l immersion de cette magnifique machine que vous avez réalisée !!

Flight model is definitely better than than first two free helos in MSFS (Cabri G2 and Bell407), but I guess you can't overcome the basic flaws in MSFS flight model for helos. There's not really any ground effect and movement is still too "sticky" somehow when compared eg. to DCS flight model which seems much more dynamic. But I still prefer this over the other freeware ones I have and I like the customization options. Graphics look nice, although a bit blurry panels in VR (using Varjo Aero on highest ppd).

Took off first time with just a bit of tail wiggle as I figured things out, and then crashed MANY times having loads of fun. This is a great chopper, it has a good flight model for beginners like me, but I did lower some sensitivity settings of my controllers at first. Did I mention it's missing side-door guns? Please :)
